STONES SUMMER

Hello! I hope everyone is having a great summer. Mine has been a busy one, filled with lots of writing, practicing, recording, and some fun in between. Back in July I travelled to Chicago and saw The Rolling Stones. It was an amazing experience and I was blown away at how good the band sounded. Mick had heart surgery earlier in the year, but you couldn’t tell one bit. He was running around the massive stage and doing high kicks, all while singing. I can guarantee you if I even attempted that I’d be out of breath and unable to sing.

I had been waiting a long time to see the Stones live and I was not disappointed. I think what struck me the most was that every single band member was clearly having a blast. Nobody was just going through the motions. The guys certainly don’t need the money. Keith is 75, Mick 76, Ronnie 72, Charlie 78 - and can still eat most younger bands for lunch.

Alright, I’m done geeking out on the Stones - but if you find they are going to be in a city near you - go see them. I have a feeling (based on age alone) that this is probably the last world tour. But then again, they keep surprising.

In other news, I sprained my ankle pretty bad about a week ago and found myself in the hospital. Thankfully, there was no bone damage, but we will have to see how the ligaments and tissue heal. I have an acupuncture appointment this afternoon in an attempt to get some relief. New York City is not a great place to be when you can’t walk!

In other news, The Radiators are off this month while half the band is on tour in Japan. Next month we will be at Pianos in NYC on September 28th - 7pm! Put it on your calendars!

The new music is coming along, and as I am constantly reminded - takes longer than I want it to. I appreciate all your patience and promise the wait will be worth it!

Thanks for reading my ramblings and take care!
